東洋大学生命科学部教授
Hiroyuki Takei
Prof. Takei received his Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Physics at Cornell University in the United States in 1992 and joined Hitachi’s Fundamental Research Laboratory. He was primarily involved in the development of localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensing technology, and later continued to develop clinical testing technology and MEMS technology at Fujirebio Inc., Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Kanagawa Academy of Science and Technology, and other institutions. He moved to the Faculty of Life Sciences at Toyo University in 2009 and has been promoting various surface-enhanced spectroscopy techniques, mainly SERS.

東洋大学生命科学研究科博士後期課程
Umi YamaguchI
Umi has been engaged in research into surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) since her days as an undergraduate student in the Department of Applied Biological Sciences at Toyo University. After obtaining her master’s degree, she got a job at an HPLC-related company. During that time, she noticed the benefits of combining HPLC with SERS, and returned to graduate school to realize her dream. With the cooperation of HPLC manufacturers, she is working day and night to put HPLC-SERS into practical use.
